Our favourite places to stay on this sleepy Cebu island.
Would you like a glimpse of Nami Island but are still saving up for that trip to South Korea or just simply have your travel schedule full? You are in luck! Make a quick trip to Caiña Ranch in Baras, Rizal and manifest the K-drama shots that you have always dreamed of.
It is irresistible to take a photo of the iconic stretch of trees on Nami Island, even without the pretence of K-dramas. Fortunately, Caiña Ranch will let you live those dreams out, even just for a moment, until you reach the real thing. For a few kilometres, you can experience what it’s like to be on the world-famous island in Gangwon Province.

Caiña Ranch possesses the same corridor of mahogany trees that frame couples from your favourite K-dramas, such as Winter Sonata or My Love from the Star. Aside from the crisply coloured foliage of the trees, the ranch offers stunning views of Laguna de Bay. There are also a number of spots around the ranch and boat rides, so you can maximise taking photos for your Instagram accounts!
The ranch was originally owned as a private space by Joseph Caiña and was turned into a tourist attraction after being convinced by friends. He says that it brought him joy to learn that families, vloggers, and bikers have been flocking their ranch to enjoy its natural beauty.
The ranch also has Mangantila Cafe and Restaurant, an in-house restaurant that serves delicious seafood, which are specialities of Baras. You can enjoy delicacies such as Baras Pinugot, seafood platters, and chilli crabs. As Mangantilla is an al fresco restaurant, you can definitely revel in exquisite dishes as your other senses feast on nature.
