Our favourite places to stay on this sleepy Cebu island.
Travel lovers! If you're dreaming of crystal-clear waters, breathtaking limestone cliffs, and powdery white sand beaches, Cebu Pacific (CEB) has just made your island-hopping adventures even more accessible. Starting March 30, 2025, the budget airline is launching daily flights from Clark International Airport (CRK) to El Nido and Coron (Busuanga)—two of the most sought-after paradise destinations in the Philippines.

Cebu Pacific’s expansion at Clark isn’t just about adding new routes—it’s about making travel more convenient, efficient, and enjoyable. According to CEB President Xander Lao, Clark is quickly shaping up to be a premier gateway to the Philippines' most iconic destinations. With this move, CEB is bringing more travellers closer to the country’s hidden gems without the hassle of navigating the crowded Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila.
Imagine this: Instead of dealing with Metro Manila traffic just to catch a flight to Palawan, you can now skip the chaos and head straight to Clark, where you’ll be just a short flight away from El Nido’s stunning lagoons and Coron’s world-famous diving spots.

For those who haven’t had the pleasure of visiting these destinations, let’s break it down:
El Nido: Known for its jaw-dropping limestone formations, turquoise waters, and vibrant marine life, El Nido is a haven for island hoppers. With over 45 islands and islets, there’s always something new to explore—whether it’s kayaking through Big Lagoon, snorkelling at Shimizu Island, or lounging on the pristine shores of Nacpan Beach.
Coron (Busuanga): Often considered the more adventurous sibling of El Nido, Coron is famous for its world-class wreck diving sites, where sunken Japanese warships from World War II rest beneath the crystal waters. If diving isn’t your thing, you can still marvel at the mesmerizing Kayangan Lake, often dubbed the cleanest lake in the Philippines, or unwind at Malcapuya Beach.

Clark International Airport is quickly becoming a strong alternative to Manila’s NAIA, thanks to fewer flight delays, less congestion, and improved accessibility for travellers from Central and Northern Luzon. It’s no wonder Cebu Pacific is investing heavily in Clark’s potential as a key jump-off point for both domestic and international routes.
Alongside the new El Nido and Coron flights, Cebu Pacific is also moving its Masbate and Siargao flights from Manila to Clark, further boosting its domestic network. This means more options for travellers looking to explore the Philippines without dealing with the capital’s often overwhelming airport traffic.
With these additions, Cebu Pacific will now serve 15 domestic and international destinations from Clark—a clear sign that the airline sees this airport as a major player in Philippine travel.

For budget-conscious travellers, Cebu Pacific’s expansion at Clark is a big win. With more flights operating from Clark, airfare prices are likely to remain competitive, making dream destinations like El Nido and Coron more affordable than ever.
Not to mention, flying from Clark also means lower travel costs for those coming from Northern and Central Luzon, since they won’t have to factor in additional expenses like Manila’s sky-high transportation and accommodation fees.
If you’re already planning your summer getaway, here are a few tips to make your trip to El Nido or Coron extra special:
Book early! – Cebu Pacific is known for its promo fares, so keep an eye out for seat sales to score cheaper flights.
Plan your itinerary wisely. – While both El Nido and Coron are part of Palawan, they are separate destinations and require different flights. If you want to visit both, consider booking a ferry or another domestic flight between them.
Explore beyond the tourist spots. – While the popular attractions are breathtaking, don’t be afraid to venture off the beaten path. In El Nido, explore lesser-known beaches like Duli Beach or Nagkalit-kalit Falls. In Coron, check out the Maquinit Hot Springs for a relaxing dip after a long day of island-hopping.
