2024 is shaping up to be an unforgettable year for travel enthusiasts, especially those heading to Japan. Tokyo is set to welcome a thrilling new attraction: Immersive Fort Tokyo, the world’s first fully immersive indoor theme park. It opened its doors in Odaiba in March, this innovative park promises an unparalleled experience where visitors become an integral part of the action.

Immersive Fort Tokyo will transform the 30,000-square-metre space of the former Venus Fort shopping complex into a dynamic playground with 12 attractions and six restaurants. The park's concept, developed by Katana Marketing and Entertainment, eliminates the boundaries between the stage and the audience, making every guest a participant in the unfolding stories.
The attractions are designed to captivate a wide range of interests. Fans of detective stories will relish the Sherlock Holmes-themed murder mystery, where they join the famous sleuth in solving a case. Horror aficionados can brave the Jack the Ripper maze, set in 19th-century London, where they must evade the notorious serial killer. Anime enthusiasts will find themselves caught in the middle of a conflict in the Tokyo Revengers-themed escape room, facing off against new adversaries alongside the Tokyo Mankai gang.
Ticket prices for this immersive experience are expected to start at JP¥6,800 (around ₱2,600) for access to nine attractions. A more inclusive pass, priced at JP¥9,800 (roughly ₱3,700), offers nine attractions plus a choice between the Sherlock Holmes or Tokyo Revengers game. The premium pass, at JP¥14,800 (₱5,700), includes entry to the R-rated Edo Oiran immersive theatre, promising an even more intense experience.
In addition to Immersive Fort Tokyo, the Odaiba area will also feature City Circuit Tokyo Bay, Tokyo’s largest EV kart racing circuit. Occupying over 11,000 square metres, this new motorsports complex offers both indoor and outdoor tracks, along with virtual reality simulators. This makes it one of Japan’s premier destinations for electronic racing enthusiasts.
