If you’re a history buff and a movie enthusiast, we’ve found the perfect place for you. Bonus points: You don’t have to spend any amount to experience your two faves. Sine Pop, a post-war home in Cubao, was transformed into a boutique cinema — and they host screenings weekly!

Sine Pop is a boutique theatre inside a restored 1948 house located in a serene part of Cubao. The house is situated on a 750sqm lot and was built and designed by its owner, Sotero Pasion Eugenio, a Civil Engineer from Laoag City, and his wife, Lourdes Sabas Segui. The Eugenio family lived in this home for nearly 70 years before it was converted into a boutique theatre. Since then, they rarely changed anything in the house to preserve its natural beauty.
It was only in 2017 that their son, Pedro Eugenio, started to modify some portions of the house. He introduced modern designs to some areas while maintaining the property’s original interior. This is where the cafe and movie theatre was built.
Aside from the cafe and the cinema, visitors are also fascinated by the bamboo forest found on their balcony — not to mention the beautiful painting display on the second floor. You will for sure leave this unique in-house theatre with happy eyes, minds, and hearts! Here, you won’t only get to enjoy a movie, but a fantastic experience touring this vintage home as well.
Sine Pop offers free screening of local films only on Sundays. You don’t have to pay for anything, but you have to reserve your slot as they provide limited seats. Secure your seats by messaging the Sine Pop Facebook page.
