March is National Women’s Month, and what better way to celebrate than by stepping into history—or should we say HERstory? If you’re looking for a meaningful and educational experience, the newly opened Tandang Sora Women’s Museum in Quezon City should be on your must-visit list!
Not only is it the first women’s museum in the Philippines, but it’s also a powerful tribute to Filipino women’s resilience, leadership, and impact across history.

Located beside the Tandang Sora National Shrine, the museum is dedicated to Melchora Aquino, also known as Tandang Sora—the “Mother of the Katipunan.” While she played a vital role in the Philippine Revolution, this museum goes beyond her legacy. It highlights the achievements of Filipina revolutionaries, trailblazers in politics, science, the arts, and modern-day advocates.
Since its official opening on February 19, 2025, the museum has welcomed over 100 visitors daily—and for a good reason! The exhibits are immersive, engaging, and packed with inspiring stories. Whether you’re a history buff, a feminist, or just someone who loves discovering new places, this museum offers an unforgettable experience.
