The promise of new flavours beckons from Banawe.
You know what we’ve been thinking about all day? Cookies. Or more precisely, how we wish we could stuff our faces with all of our favourite cookies without feeling an ounce of guilt — all thoughts of diets or beach bodies be damned.
But whether it’s sugar intolerance or an allergy to gluten, the sad reality is that not everyone gets to put their hands in the cookie jar as often as they would like. This is the injustice that (BCC), a local cookie seller in Makati City, hopes to correct with their cookies.

For dessert lovers who are looking for healthy snacks in the Philippines, has found a way to let everyone have a cookie and eat it too. From sugar-free cookies to gluten-free cookies for paleo diets, they offer a variety of cookies for every dietary restriction without sacrificing flavour. They’ve piqued our curiosity, and now we’re going in for a bite.
At TripZilla Philippines, we believe in giving fair and honest reviews for the products we try. To guide you on what to order, we’ve gone ahead and labelled what makes each cookie unique. Some of the diet-sensitive cookies below are gluten-free, wheat-free, egg-free, dairy-free, and nut-free.
Here are our candid thoughts about what we liked and didn’t like about ’s cookies.
Thinking of cutting your hair and working on that post-breakup glow? Try the Breakup cookie, which is the ideal dessert for those who want to cut down on carbs and follow a keto diet. At first, we weren’t sure what to expect from a cookie named after a breakup; but thankfully, it tastes nothing like the shame of crawling back to an ex.
This light-coloured cookie is soft, chewy, and studded with large chocolates. Biting into the cookie reveals multiple layers of gooey chocolate inside. More importantly, the cookie is thick and doesn’t scrimp on size — a far cry from other keto-friendly cookies that stay depressingly flat.
By far, this cookie was our favourite because it offers a balanced ratio of cookie to melt-in-your-mouth chocolate. If you’re feeling conscious about your calorie intake and you’re looking for healthy snacks in the Philippines, this low-carb cookie will let you satisfy your sweet tooth without any guilt.

We have to respect a cookie brand that fully commits to its branding. Nicknamed the Dirty Six, this super chewy cookie is ’s playful answer to the classic chocolate chip cookie.
Take note, however, that this cookie isn’t wheat-free or gluten-free. Rather, this cookie delivers the ultimate indulgence for customers who aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty and smother their face in all that Belgian chocolate. This hits the sweet spot for cookie aficionados like us — and sure, we wouldn’t mind going to town on all that oozing choc.

Looking for #thicc cookies to treat yourself on your special day? There’s no mistaking the Birthday cookie from ’s other selections, as this large cookie is packed with roasted walnuts and smooth Belgian chocolate. It delivers a mouthful of flavours while staying crunchy on the outside. We also appreciated the large walnuts that were distributed throughout the cookie.
While we enjoyed eating this adorably lumpy, palm-sized cookie, we were also hoping for something colourful and eye-catching to assert its status as a birthday cookie. Not necessarily sprinkles, but maybe something that could add a celebratory touch. Something over-the-top that would make us go, “Now, that is some good Birthday Six that would make us come back for seconds!”
As it is, the Birthday cookie is quite similar to most chocolate chip cookies with nuts out there. The only exception is that the walnuts in this cookie are larger compared to other cookies in the Philippines. It has size going for it, and you’ll hear no complaints from us.

Apparently, we like it rough? Nobody was more surprised than we were that a cookie has made us consider shifting to a paleo diet — one that does away with processed food and sugary desserts. Once you get past the grainier texture of the Rough cookie, you will find a soft, plump, and chewy cookie with ooey-gooey chocolate chunks that just might grow on you with every bite.
But not everyone in our team — or those in our immediate vicinity — was impressed by this cookie. Just to repeat what one of our sex-positive relatives said upon sneaking a bite, “This doesn’t taste like rough sex to me.”
All jokes aside, we think this cookie would taste even better if the chocolate chunks were evenly distributed; there were certain parts of the cookie where it felt like we were endlessly chewing on dough. Still, this cookie makes a good case for the paleo diet, and we would gladly reach for one more if we were hungry. Post-cookie guilt? We don’t know her.

When it comes to ’s diet-sensitive cookies, the Guilt-Free cookie is another easy place to start. Known as the sugar-free and gluten-free cookie, it’s tailor-made for anyone who wants to reduce their sugar intake while still gorging themselves on desserts.
Despite being free of nearly every ingredient that makes a cookie delicious — dairy, eggs, gluten, sugar, nuts — this cookie doesn’t sacrifice flavours for health benefits. Here, you’ll find a cookie that achieves just the right amount of sweetness without giving away the fact that it’s sugar-free.
The texture is drier than, say, the Dirty and Birthday cookies, but we can still roll with that. Not all cookies have to be moist. Other than that, consider this your safe, diet-friendly cookie that gets the job done.

Now, this Twin cookie gave our cookie taste-testing team mixed feelings. One of our teammates loved it and thought that the chocolate and the oats were a winning combination; some of us found the cookie too busy and thought it had too much going on. What we can agree on is that the cookie has a dense, heavy texture with a tasty oatmeal flavour.
That said, we weren’t expecting the cookie to be that thick. Since the cookie is already heavily textured, some of us were left with the sensation of chewing a clump of oats and wondering where the rest of the cookie dough went. It lacks that melt-in-your-mouth quality that other cookies have.
If you’re fond of oats in your cookies, you might be into this. Just be prepared to actively chew those oats and put some work into it. This cookie isn’t the first thing we would grab in our late-night cravings, but we can imagine it makes a pleasant breakfast treat to have with coffee in the morning.

We want to give the Safe cookie plus points for using wholesome ingredients while remaining gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, wheat-free, and nut-free. Having said that, this vegan chocolate chip cookie was not love at first bite for us.
Since this is a vegan cookie, you can expect it to have a different texture and consistency compared to cookies made from all-purpose flour. That’s not necessarily a bad thing — except we wish there were stronger flavours to cut through the same-ness of the cookie dough. The chocolate chips are well-distributed throughout the cookie, but they don’t bring a rich or decadent burst of chocolate.
On the plus side, you can binge-eat these vegan cookies while keeping your diet and dignity intact. But for butter-loving cookie addicts who are already wondering about how this cookie might taste with a glass of milk, this might be a swipe left.

It goes without saying that coffee and cookies are a match made in heaven. has collaborated with Yellow Turtle Coffee to provide a variety of coffee blends to pair with their cookies.
Our team’s favourite coffee was the Galapagos Premium Blend, Yellow Turtle Coffee’s signature blend of Arabica coffee beans sourced from Colombia and Brazil. This well-balanced blend offers sweet, caramel undertones that go well with desserts.
Another blend we tried was called I’m Up All Night Thinking of You, which tastes nutty and chocolatey, thanks to the Robusta coffee beans. We also tried the Medellin Colombia blend, which leans towards a fruitier and more tart flavour in contrast to the two blends.
These coffee blends taste mild enough that you don’t need to drown them in milk or sugar for a dose of sweetness. For this reason, they serve as versatile choices for casual coffee drinkers.

Now that we’ve tried each of BCC’s cookies, our top favourites were the Breakup, Dirty, and Birthday cookies. What the cookies all have in common is that they are chewy, chunky, and generous in their portions.
The cookies arrived in a sleek black box that instantly made us wonder what was inside. As can be expected from ’s playful branding, the box opens to teasing flirtations and pick-up lines from famous pop songs.
At the back of the box, there are also clear labels for each cookie variant and the quantity of cookies per order. This way, you know exactly what you’re about to dig into. Plus, it’s especially helpful if you want to order seconds and go for another round with a specific cookie. So satisfy our cookie cravings, we did!
Taste-wise, we do think that can still step up their game a bit more by including a more diverse range of flavours besides chocolate for the non-diet-sensitive cookies. Hazelnuts? Salted caramel? We’re getting ahead of ourselves here, but you get the idea.
For six palm-sized cookies, ₱990 leans on the pricier side compared to other gourmet cookies in the Philippines. So, we recommend starting with the Quickies first before committing to the Six. Each box of a Quickie consists of three 100g cookies, ranging from ₱295 to ₱595 per box.
Whether you’re cutting carbs or avoiding animal-based products, there’s a little something for everyone with . At the end of the day, we appreciate that there’s a new and exciting option for gluten-free cookies and healthy snacks in the Philippines.
