Camiguin Travel Requirements for Domestic Tourists

If Camiguin is on your list of places to visit in the Philippines, then you’re in luck. The island, known for its pristine white sand beaches and breathtaking mountains, officially reopened for tourism. To help you start planning your trip to Mindanao’s “Island Born of Fire,” we’ve put together the Camiguin travel requirements as of November 2021.

Camiguin travel overview

Camiguin reopened to tourists on 25 Oct 2021. As of 1 Nov 2021, the island province is under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) Alert Level 2. Strict COVID-19 protocols remain in place.

Who can travel to Camiguin?

The island is open to fully vaccinated (at least 14 days past receiving their final COVID-19 dose) domestic tourists aged 18 years old and up. Unvaccinated minor children may travel to Camiguin, provided that they are accompanied by fully vaccinated parents.

COVID-19 health and safety protocols

• Wash hands often with soap and water, or use an alcohol-based sanitiser.
• Wear your face mask and face shield.
• Maintain physical distancing of at least one metre.
• Limit time spent in crowded spaces.
• Body temperature checks, filling up of health declaration forms, and disinfection of shoes will be required before entry into establishments.
• Contactless transactions are highly encouraged.

Camiguin travel requirements

Planning a trip to Camiguin? Here are the necessary steps to go through before visiting, as listed on the Visit Camiguin official website.

1. Go to cleancamiguinqr.com.
2. Create an account and fill out a Health Declaration Form.
3. Upload your proof of complete COVID-19 vaccination.
4. Upload your negative RT-PCR test result.
   • Taken within 72 hours of arrival if from Luzon
   • Taken within 48 hours of arrival if from Visayas or Mindanao
5. Upload proof of confirmed booking at an LGU-accredited establishment.
   • Alternatively, you must upload a copy of a clearance form from the Municipal Health Officer of the municipality, if staying in a private home.*
6. Download your ID with QR code and save it on your phone or print it out.
7. If you’re staying more than five days, you’ll have to take a mandatory antigen test on your fifth day in Camiguin.

*Ask your host to process this for you and send you a copy.
