Coron Reopens to Fully Vaccinated Tourists on 15 Nov 2021

From island-hopping tours to swimming in crystal-clear lakes, the time has come to live out your island dreams. After a long wait, Coron is ready to welcome fully vaccinated tourists under a point-to-point bubble tourism program. 

According to Executive Order No. 117, tourists who are travelling “from the NCR Plus Area and other localities outside the province of Palawan” can visit Coron starting 15 Nov 2021, as long as they comply with the travel requirements and safety protocols.

Who is allowed to travel to Coron?

All fully vaccinated tourists, both domestic and foreign, who are travelling “from NCR Plus Areas or from other LGUs outside Palawan Province,” are allowed to visit Coron when it reopens on 15 Nov 2021. Minors who will be accompanied by fully vaccinated parents, legal guardians, and elder siblings can also travel to Coron. 

The intended date of travel for fully vaccinated tourists must take place at least 15 days after receiving their final dose of the COVID-19 vaccine; accepted vaccines include but are not limited to Pfizer, Moderna, Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Sputnik V, and Johnson & Johnson.

Entry requirements for fully vaccinated non-Palaweño tourists visiting Coron

  • COVID-19 vaccination card issued by a legitimate institution or a Department of Health (DOH)-accredited laboratory
  • Negative RT-PCR test result (QR-coded with an attached official receipt) conducted within 48 hours before the flight 
  • Confirmed accommodation booking or hotel reservation at a Department of Tourism (DOT)-accredited establishment 
  • Approved S-Pass travel application

On the other hand, these are the travel requirements for Palaweño residents who are visiting Coron from Puerto Princesa City and other municipalities in Palawan

Entry requirements for fully vaccinated Palaweño tourists visiting Coron

  • Valid ID
  • COVID-19 vaccination card with a QR code 
  • Negative antigen test result conducted within 24 hours before departure  
  • Confirmed hotel accommodation or tour booking
  • Approved S-Pass travel application

Along with these requirements, the point-to-point bubble tourism scheme requires tourists to comply with public health measures and safety protocols while in Coron, including a mandatory checking of their travel requirements at the Tourism Info Desk inside Coron Airport, luggage disinfection upon arrival, and the payment of a ₱200 environmental fee.
