Dingalan, Aurora Insurance Policy Implemented for Safety Measures

If you're planning to visit Dingalan, Aurora, known for its stunning waterfalls, caves, and beaches, there's a new rule to be aware of before you start exploring. The local government has passed a new municipal ordinance requiring all tourists to obtain insurance before enjoying the area's attractions.

The new Dingalan, Aurora insurance policy

According to the Dingalan Tourism Office, the insurance policy was implemented to ensure that visitors are financially protected in case of accidents or unforeseen incidents. The ordinance covers all tourists, visitors, and even accommodation establishments operating in the area. The new requirement is designed to provide financial assistance to tourists who suffer from disability or, in the worst case, death during their visit to Dingalan.

The process is straightforward. Tourists are required to secure their insurance from an LGU-registered or accredited provider. After purchasing the insurance, travellers must present a copy of the policy or a receipt confirming their coverage to tour operators before joining any tours. This rule applies to everyone who plans to explore Dingalan’s famous sites.

Accommodation establishments also need to comply with the new policy. They are required to have a memorandum of agreement with an accredited insurance provider, ensuring that their guests are covered in case of emergencies. Failure to follow this regulation can result in fines, suspension, or even cancellation of business permits for these establishments.

For tourists, failure to secure insurance will result in not being allowed to participate in any tours. The aim is to ensure that every visitor has peace of mind while enjoying the scenic beauty of Dingalan.

Some travellers have expressed concerns about the costs, especially for those visiting only once. Social media users have commented about affordable insurance options such as ₱10 monthly plans from Cebuana Lhuillier or ₱60 annual plans from Sun Life. However, the tourism office clarified that insurance must be obtained from Dingalan-based or LGU-accredited providers.

Though this new rule might seem like an added step for travellers, it ultimately prioritises safety and well-being. Dingalan remains a must-visit destination for nature lovers, and with the right preparations, visitors can enjoy the region’s natural wonders worry-free.

So, before you pack your bags, make sure to add insurance to your travel checklist for a hassle-free adventure in Dingalan!
