Although it has been an undoubtedly tough year, 2020 has offered us speckles of joy in the simplest things. For most of us, these have been food, coffee, and plants. So when Greenhouse Cafe Tagaytay opened last October, it hasn’t stopped seeing visitors since.

Tagaytay has long been a crowd-favourite spot for quick getaways near Manila. Boasting not only of a cool climate but also of iconic barako beans, the city is definitely a hotspot for picturesque cafés. But even with all the coffee shops dotting Tagaytay, Greenhouse Cafe prides itself in being the first of its kind in the city.

While most coffee shops in Tagaytay leverage on the overlooking views the city offers, Greenhouse Cafe takes it a step further. Home to over 60 varieties of exotic flora, this café brings the outdoors in, providing a landscape that shows off as a view in itself.
Not only does Greenhouse Cafe have a vibrant atmosphere, but they also have appetising food and comforting beverages! Their meals are reasonably priced, ranging from ₱150 to ₱350. Coffee and tea, on the other hand, don’t go above ₱150. The café also offers dishes for sharing.
Opening up a coffee shop in Tagaytay certainly has its perks. For one, the chilly weather allows you to operate without an aircon — these days, this factor is crucial, because COVID-19 has been proven to transmit less easily in the open air.
Although Greenhouse Cafe has the perks of having good air circulation and plants as natural purifiers, the establishment continues to adhere to COVID-19 protocols. Only a maximum of 20 people are allowed to enter at a time.
