Our favourite places to stay on this sleepy Cebu island.
From its humble beginnings as an ice cream parlour in 1975, Jollibee has grown to become a fast-food empire with over 1,200 branches all over the world. With stores in California all the way to Rome, the Jollibee franchise is winning over new customers and bringing familiar flavours to the overseas Filipinos longing for home.
Even as Jollibee tweaks and adapts its international menu for different cultures, it always delivers on that langhap-sarap experience that we know so well. When it’s safe to travel, we’d love to take a bite out of all the unique Jollibee meals out there. Check them out below!

An all-time favourite dish in Southeast Asia gets a Filipino twist with the Nasi Lemak Chickenjoy, the latest offering at Jollibee Singapore! For just S$5 (₱179), this version of Jollibee’s Chickenjoy comes with sambal (a spicy, chilli-based sauce), ikan bilis (dried fish), hard-boiled egg, cucumbers, and fragrant rice cooked in coconut milk.
The next time you find yourself in Hong Kong, you might want to skip the usual breakfast menu items of Jollibee Hong Kong and try the Ham or Bacon & Egg Creamy Macaroni instead! For only HK$20 (₱125), you can enjoy these warm and comforting bowls of macaroni in most Jollibee outlets in HK; that is, except for the branches in Mongkok and the Central Euro Trade Centre. Pair this Jollibee breakfast meal with a cup of hot coffee; and this way, your morning will be off to a great start!
Considering the quantity of food that we’re about to dive into, it almost feels like we should have a section dedicated to the various offerings of Jollibee Vietnam!
Take your pick from the Chilli Chicken (spicy chilli chicken served with white rice and vegetables), Crispy Chicken Sandwich (grilled chicken with vegetables, two slices of cheese, and a sweet-sour sauce), Squid Rings, Honey Butter Fries, and Roasted Chicken Pie, to name a few. All of these dishes are available only in Jollibee branches in Vietnam.
Now, if you’re craving desserts, you might also want to try the Peach Pie (just like the ones we have, but without mangoes). Or, how about the Green Milk Tea with Jelly for something sweet and refreshing to cool you down?
It’s always fascinating to see how Jollibee adapts its menu items to the cravings of its local customer base. In Jollibee Qatar, for example, a chicken sandwich comes wrapped in pita bread and stuffed with vegetables to make a healthy and delicious snack. Called the Jolly Wrap, it costs QR9 (₱120). Plus, it happens to be a popular meal for Filipinos living in Doha!
No matter where we are in the world, Filipinos still need rice! Thankfully, Jollibee UAE has come up with a mouth-watering dish that caters to both locals and overseas Filipinos in the United Arab Emirates. In Jollibee branches across Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the star dishes are the Spicy Chickenjoy and Chicken Strips with biryani rice, packed with flavourful spices. Furthermore, customers have the option of choosing between chilli sauce or gravy for their dipping sauces.
For Filipinos living in Kuwait, Jollibee offers Chickenjoy Kabsa — a fragrant mixed rice dish that uses different meats and spices. Instead of plain white rice, Jollibee’s Chickenjoy is served on top of long-grain rice such as basmati. And the result couldn’t be more inviting!
Admittedly, we’re a little jealous of the fact that Filipino-Americans get to eat Adobo Rice at different branches of Jollibee US! Here, a cup of white rice is sprinkled with bits of marinated pork as a savoury side dish to Chickenjoy.
Suffice to say, we can definitely see how a little taste of adobo might fondly remind overseas Filipinos of home. Truly, it’s one of the items on the Jollibee international menu that we hope would arrive in the Philippines soon.
Another favourite Jollibee meal in the United States is the Chicken Dippers, which can be dunked in different sauces: ranch, honey, mustard, and gravy.

How many of these special Jollibee meals have you tried before? Someday, we’d love to go on a tasting spree and sample these menu items from Jollibee branches around the world. But until then, nothing beats the taste of the Jollibee we have at home!
