Entitled “Special Topics: Analysis of K-drama Series,” the elective is offered under the College of Mass Communication, but it will be open to students of all colleges within UP Diliman. Professor Ma. Amor Aljibe will teach this class, which will take place for three hours once a week. For the exact time slots, you may check out the class schedules here.
According to the instructor’s remarks, this elective on K-drama analysis requires a stable internet connection, video conferencing apps such as Messenger or Viber, and a computer or device for watching K-dramas. Plus, you need an account on the University Virtual Learning Environment (UVLE), an online learning management system at UP Diliman.
As early as now, professor Aljibe encourages potential students to start watching the following K-drama series: Crash Landing on You, Chicago Typewriter, and Misaeng. Knowing how many Filipinos are already avid fans of K-dramas in general, catching up shouldn’t be a problem.
