Sure, you’ve probably seen Old Town White Coffee sachets all around the Philippines, whether sold in supermarkets or as pasalubong brought by family or friends from Malaysia. But for the longest time, javaphiles have had to make do with instant coffee by the famous Malaysian coffee chain. Well, we’re here with some good news: Now, the first-ever Metro Manila branch of Old Town White Coffee is finally open at SM Grand Central in Caloocan City.

If you’re interested in sampling Old Town White Coffee, head to Level 3 of SM Grand Central. The branch opened its doors on Thursday, 25 May 2023 — and it’s definitely ready to host your morning, afternoon, and evening coffee breaks! Bright and cheerful, the first Old Town shop in the metro promises a pleasant place to savour delicious Malaysian coffee.
Here, you can sit and enjoy a leisurely cup of the super-smooth classic brew, whether you prefer it hot or cold to beat the sizzling Philippine heat. Flavoured brews are also available, such as Salted Caramel and Hazelnut. Prefer sipping tea? You’ll probably like Old Town’s special black tea blend. Cold teas are available, too, if you want something extra refreshing.
Moreover, there’s food to pair with your yummy drinks! Known for championing authentic Malaysian cuisine, Old Town Coffee serves a tasty selection of nasi lemak, which is a hearty dish of fragrant rice cooked in coconut milk and pandan leaves. Savour it with chicken rendang, chicken curry laksa, or crispy chicken. The house speciality, Old Town Ipoh Chicken Hor Fun, is also a must-try.

Born in the charming city of Ipoh in the 1930s, Old Town White Coffee has been serving delicious coffee to Asians for decades. The brand earned a loyal following for its rich three-bean blend that combines the best flavours of Robusta, Arabica, and Liberica beans in every cup. From the first coffee shop, Old Town White Coffee expanded to take over Asia; it now has more than 200 outlets in the continent.
Finally, there’s no need to fly all the way to another country for a taste of the exceptionally aromatic blend. Old Town Coffee is already an easy drive away in Caloocan!
