The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) has significantly enhanced its PHLPost Express Mail Service with the launch of three new delivery hubs across Metro Manila. This strategic move aims to revolutionise domestic and international express mail delivery, ensuring faster and more efficient service for Filipino customers.

The move started on Monday, 13 Jan. Express mail deliveries in the National Capital Region (NCR) will be streamlined with the opening of new hubs in Manila, Quezon City, and Makati. These hubs will complement the existing Central Mail Exchange Center (CMEC) in Pasay City, creating a more robust and customer-centric delivery network.

By decentralising operations, PHLPost aims to significantly reduce delivery times. "The new hubs allow EMS personnel and couriers to operate more efficiently closer to customers," explains Alvin Fidelson of PHLPost’s Corporate Communications Division. This localised approach translates to faster delivery times and improved accessibility for customers across Metro Manila.
The establishment of these strategically located hubs offers several key advantages for Filipinos:
Greater convenience: With hubs closer to their locations, Filipinos can now conveniently access express mail services, reducing travel time and effort.
Reduced costs: The streamlined delivery process may potentially lead to reduced operational costs for PHLPost, which could translate into more competitive pricing for Filipino customers.
PHLPost has also implemented a more customer-friendly approach to undelivered items. Undelivered packages will now be held for seven days at the respective hubs. This allows customers ample time to request redelivery or conveniently pick up their items without the need to travel to the CMEC.
Quezon City Hub: Caloocan, Malabon, Marikina, Navotas, Novaliches, Quezon City, Valenzuela
CMEC Hub: Pasay, Muntinlupa, Las Piñas, Parañaque, Taguig
Makati Hub: Makati, Mandaluyong, Pasig, Pateros
Manila Hub: Manila, San Juan
Under this new system, domestic express mail sent from post offices after the cut-off time will be delivered within 48 hours. Each location has its respective cut-off times, but most NCR areas require items to be mailed by 2.00pm or 3.30pm.

The NCR, with its high population density, accounts for a significant portion of PHLPost's delivery volume. So, this new expansion of the PHLPost express mail service is a crucial step in optimising service delivery across the region. By continuously improving its services, PHLPost aims to maintain a competitive edge in the evolving market.
