A Sample 4-Day Tokyo Itinerary for First-Timers

Here’s my four-day Tokyo itinerary. I made it very detailed because it’s one of the requirements for getting a tourist visa.  By the way, I had my visa processed by Discovery Tour Inc, with no sweat!

Day 1

Manila to Tokyo

  • 10.35am: Arrival at Narita Airport

Shibuya

  • 11.35am: Hotel check-in  

Harajuku

  • 12pm: Takeshita Dori – Food & Drink/Shopping
  • 2pm: Meiji Shrine – Sightseeing
  • 3pm: Yoyogi Park – Sightseeing
  • 3.30pm: Omotesando Coffee – Food & Drink

Shinjuku

  • 4pm: Hanazono Shrine [5-17-3 Shinjuku]  – Sightseeing
  • 5pm: Shinjuku National Garden [11 Naitomachi, Shinjuku] – Sightseeing
  • 6pm: Taito Station [3-35-8 Shinjuku] – Arcade/Photobooth
  • 7pm: Kappo Nakajima [Nichihara Bldg B1F, 5-32-5 Shinjuku] – Food & Drink
  • 8.30pm: Don Quixote [1-16-5 Kabukicho, Shinjuku] – Shopping
  • 10pm: Robot resto [Robot bldg B2F, 1-7-1 Kabukicho] – Sightseeing
  • 10.30pm: Omoide Yokocho [Piss Alley] – Food & Drink
  • 11.30pm: Golden Gai [1 Kabukicho, Shinjuku] – Food & Drink/Nightlife

Shibuya

  • 12am: Back to the hotel

Day 2

Shibuya

  • 8am: Leave hotel

Akihabara

  • 9am: Gundam Café/Maid Café – Food & Drink
  • 10am: Strolling in Akiba; Yodobashi, Mandarake/Tokyo Anime Center, Kanda Myojin Shrine – Shopping/Sightseeing

Asakusa

  • 1pm: Sensoji Temple – Sightseeing
  • 2pm: Nakamise Dori – Food & Drink/Shopping
  • 3pm: Sumida River -Sightseeing
  • 4pm: Daikokuya Tempura [1-38-10 Asakusa, Taiko-li] – Food & Drink
  • 6pm: Daiso – Shopping
  • 7pm: Sky Tree – Sightseeing

Shibuya

  • 9pm: Ichiran Ramen – Food & Drink
  • 10pm: Hachiko Statue – Sightseeing
  • 10.30pm: Shibuya Crossing – SIghtseeing
  • 11pm: Nonbei Yokocho [Drunkard’s alley] – Food & Drink/Nightlife
  • 12am: Back to the hotel

Day 3

Shibuya

  • 7am: Leave hotel

Shinkiba

  • 8am: Disney Sea

Ginza

  • 6pm: Komparu-yu onsen [8-7-5 Ginza, Chuo-ku]
  • 7pm: Chuo Dori [Uniqlo, Hakuhinkan Toy Park (8-8-11 Ginza, Chuo-ku), Tokyu Hands @ Marronnier Gate] – Shopping
  • 9.30pm: Mitsukoshi [depachika] – Shopping
  • 10.30pm: Hamarikyu Gardens [Hamarikyu Teien, Chuo-ku] – Sightseeing
  • 11pm: Yurakucho Area – Food & Drink

Shibuya

  • 12am: Back to the hotel

Day 4

Shibuya

  • 8am: Leave hotel

Tsukiji

  • 9am: Tsukiji outer market – Food & Drink/Shopping

Tokyo

  • 12pm: Eki-Ben [Lunch Boxes] – Food & Drink
  • 12.30pm: Ramen Street/Character Street – Food & Drink/Sightseeing
  • 1pm: Imperial Palace – Sightseeing

Akasaka

  • 2pm: Senbon Inari at Sannou Inari Shrine [Torii gate] – Sightseeing
  • 3pm: Ninja Akasaka – Food & Drink

Roponggi

  • 4pm: Stroll around the area [Gonpachi resto, Roponggi hills] – Shopping

Shibuya

  • 7pm: Uobei-Shibuya Dogenzaka [1F The 6th Central Bld.2-29-11 Dogenzaka] – Food & Drink
  • 9pm: Free Time
  • 11pm: Back to the hotel
