The promise of new flavours beckons from Banawe.
Do you travel for wine? If you do, then surely you have Australia on your list of must-visit places to experience wine culture. The country, after all, has more than 2,000 wineries according to Wine Australia. But if travelling here isn’t possible at the moment, then here’s what you can do: Try wines by Audrey Wilkinson in the Philippines.
Any wine connoisseur should have at least heard of the name. Audrey Wilkinson is one of Australia’s oldest and most iconic wine destinations located in Hunter Valley north of Sydney. For the first time ever, its award-winning wines have arrived on Philippine shores and you can order them from the comfort of your home.

As of September 2021, Audrey Wilkinson wines are up for grabs locally via Audrey Wilkinson Philippines. It’s the official distributor of wines from Australia’s Hunter Valley region in the town of Pokolbin, whose wine heritage dates back almost 200 years.
“The area is a thriving wine-growing region thanks to mountains that encircle three sides of the valley, the cloud cover, and afternoon easterly sea breezes, which help mitigate the blazing sunshine during summer and keep humidity moderated on the valley floor,” Audrey Wilkinson says on its Philippine website.
“Soil types vary from rich red volcanic soil from the long-extinct volcano of Mount View and sandy loam, which benefits the grapes to exhibit more complexity, delicacy, and fruit-driven characters,” it adds. The local store is headquartered in San Francisco Del Monte, Quezon City. But customers can get theirs by ordering online.

During its opening weeks, Audrey Wilkinson wines cost from only ₱749 for a bottle of Moscato 2018, known for “delicate flavours of fresh strawberry and raspberry fruits with a hint of spritz and crunchy acidity.” Meanwhile, its famed Shiraz 2017, which is priced at ₱999 per bottle, is described as “plush and balanced with flavours of cherries, raspberries and hints of cloves.”
Other wine selections include Chardonnay 2018, Verdelho 2018, and Tempranillo 2018, which you can buy from just ₱799 to ₱849. Take note of the changes in their suggested retail price or SRPs moving forward. To order, visit Audrey Wilkinson’s official Philippine website. As of writing, they only accept PayPal payments.
