Auro Cafe to Open in IKEA Philippines in December 2021

Unless you live under a rock, you’ve probably already heard that the first-ever IKEA Philippines store finally opens its doors on 25 Nov 2021. And that’s exciting enough as it is, yes? Well, further upping the hype is that homegrown brand Auro Chocolate is about to launch an Auro Cafe at IKEA Philippines.

This “chocolate bomb” dropped a few weeks earlier via an Instagram post. The award-winning tree-to-bar chocolate company will be opening the very first Auro Chocolate Cafe at IKEA. And best believe that wherever you are on the chocoholic spectrum, this is definitely something to watch out for!

What we know so far about this Auro Cafe at IKEA

Auro Chocolate Cafe will have a “grab and go” concept and is set to fully open in December 2021. The store interiors and employees’ uniforms will feature handcrafted works by artisans from local communities. And similar to their proudly Filipino, single-origin products, the menu will feature ingredients that are sustainably and locally sourced.

So, what can we expect from this upcoming Auro Cafe at IKEA? For starters — a mix of sweet and savoury dishes, local coffee, and decadent chocolate beverages made with their own products. One item we can’t wait to try is the dark chocolate soft serve in their signature lengua de gato cone. And yes, we’re willing to bet it’s as delightful as it sounds!

“The Auro Chocolate Cafe will be an experience, and you can surely expect a lot of chocolatey goodness with a twist! It’s proudly Filipino down to its core, as each element of this cafe concept will highlight our rich cultural crafts and traditions — from the unique cacao and chocolate-infused food and beverages, to their entirely artisan-made structure, handwoven by Boholano weavers,” said Auro Chocolate marketing supervisor Louise Par.

Finally, the store will also showcase limited-edition co-branded collaborations — and of course, Auro Chocolate’s internationally renowned cacao and chocolate products.
