The savings are beyond comparison!
From meetings to social gatherings, the pandemic has shown us that many of the things we need to go on in this millennium, we can accomplish without absolutely leaving our home. Even those you probably didn’t expect, like recreating your favourite fast-food dishes. It’s much safer, cheaper, and as it turns out, so much simpler than you might think! Take this DIY Jollibee gravy as an example, which Facebook user Billy John has mastered while in quarantine.

In his now-viral Facebook post, John reveals his secret to making the famous fast-food condiment using ingredients you can find in your kitchen. And yes, according to John and those who tried it from the comments section, it really works!
Note that the first two steps can be interchanged depending on which you’re more comfortable doing.
Also, you can adjust the rest of the ingredients and steps above depending on your preference. The same goes for the measurements. Some users also shared that you can use used oil from fried meat or butter instead of margarine, cornstarch instead of flour, and even adding oyster sauce, Nestlé Cream, or Alaska Milk.

Aside from this DIY Jollibee gravy, some Filipinos have also shared their own recreation of the iconic Jollibee Chickenjoy. But it’s best to do your own research as the process greatly varies, with some using fish sauce, paprika, and calamansi, to name a few.
