In a recent stock exchange filing, Jollibee announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Jollibee Worldwide Pt. Ltd., has successfully acquired the remaining 8% stake in Titan Fund, the private equity fund that owns Tim Ho Wan. This acquisition marks the culmination of years of strategic investments, starting from an initial 45% stake in 2018.
The Filipino fast-food giant's unwavering commitment to expanding its culinary offerings has been instrumental in this significant acquisition. The company has consistently infused substantial investments into Titan Fund, demonstrating its belief in Tim Ho Wan's potential and its alignment with Jollibee's long-term vision in the culinary scene.
A global culinary powerhouse
Founded in Hong Kong in 2009, Tim Ho Wan has garnered international acclaim for its delectable dimsum offerings. With a network of about 80 stores across 11 countries including the Philippines, Tim Ho Wan has become a sough-after destination for food enthusiasts worldwide.
By acquiring full ownership of Tim Ho Wan, Jollibee aims to elevate the brand to even greater heights. The company envisions expanding the restaurant's global footprint to 100 stores across Asia alone, positioning it as the flagship brand for its Chinese cuisine segment.
