University of the Philippines – Los Baños (UPLB) to Buendia bus routes have made a return to ferry passengers living in the south. The popular route reopened on 17 Oct 2022, making commuting in these areas even easier. Here are details to take note of when booking your trips back between Los Baños and Makati!

According to a post from UPLB Community Affairs Facebook page, the first trip from the daily route starting from UPLB to Buendia LRT-1 Station begins at 5am. Passengers can board and alight at the UPLB main gate, just across the College of Development Communication building.
Meanwhile, trips coming from Buendia LRT-1 Station going to UPLB begin at 6pm. Buendia Bus Terminal hosts buses going this route and it is located just below the LRT-1 Station. Both trips are around one and a half hours to two hours.
This reopening was made possible by UPLB’s partnership with Delmonte Land Transport and Bus Company (DLTB). Both parties are also willing to slot in more departure times for both routes should there be a demand for more trips.

Also, did you know that this route existed as far back as 1979? Back when DLTB was still the Batangas Laguna Tayabas Bus Company, they had a Forestry-Manila route. Now that the UPLB-Buendia bus routes are operational once more, public transport for both residents and travellers going to Los Baños and Makati is more extensive than ever.

Extending trips further down south? The PNR Calamba-Lucena route also recently opened, reducing travel times from Laguna to Quezon Province to just a few hours. Let us know if you’re taking these routes on your trips (and how it goes) when you visit our Facebook page!
