Holiday Travel Shortcut: New Clark City Toll Open Until January 15

Motorists can now enjoy a faster and more convenient travel experience as the New Clark City/Bamban Toll Plaza officially opened on 17 Dec 2024. Designed to ease holiday traffic, this temporary toll plaza offers a seamless route for northbound and southbound travelers in the area. The toll plaza is strategically located past the Dolores Toll and before the Concepcion Toll Plaza, providing a vital connection for motorists navigating through the busy season.

New Clark City Toll Open Until January 15

The temporary toll plaza will remain operational until 15 Jan 2025, giving travelers a month-long opportunity to take advantage of this efficient alternative. As a fully RFID-enabled facility, the plaza ensures smoother traffic flow but requires motorists to load their RFID accounts in advance, as no cash lanes are available. This feature underscores NLEX Corporation's commitment to modernizing the travel experience and minimizing delays.

Travel costs at the toll plaza are competitively structured. Light vehicles, classified as Class 1, such as cars and SUVs, can expect toll fees ranging from ₱95 to ₱431. For Class 2 vehicles, which include buses, rates range between ₱202 and ₱1,041. Heavy goods vehicles or Class 3 vehicles will incur fees from ₱286 to ₱1,292. These VAT-exclusive rates offer flexibility for a range of travelers, from individual motorists to commercial operators.

To further enhance the holiday travel experience, NLEX Corporation has deployed over 1,500 personnel to bolster toll plaza assistance and patrol visibility. This initiative, running from 19 Dec-6 Jan 2025, includes additional traffic and toll operations staff, security teams, and incident response units. These measures are intended to ensure the safety and convenience of the traveling public during one of the busiest times of the year.

The opening of the New Clark City/Bamban Toll Plaza is a timely addition to the region’s road network, particularly as families and travelers hit the roads for holiday festivities. Its RFID-only setup and dedicated personnel are steps toward creating a hassle-free journey for all.
