How to Prepare for Your PAL Domestic Flight in the New Normal

Now that travel restrictions have begun easing down locally, Philippine Airlines (PAL) has restarted additional domestic routes to give essential travellers more options to fly for urgent or professional reasons.

In line with that, the airline has laid out a series of steps for those flying from one Philippine point to another. Effective since 1 Sep 2020, the following PAL domestic travel guidelines are strictly observed for a safe and smooth journey in the new normal.

PAL domestic travel guidelines: What to do before flying

1. Fill out PAL’s domestic travel and safety forms

First, you must fill out PAL’s domestic travel pre-registration form at least three days prior to your departure. You will need a valid email address and your flight details (date, origin, and destination).

After submitting the form, you will receive a unique reference or QR code and a link to the Passenger Profile and Health Declaration Form in your email. Accomplish the form, and if you’re travelling as a group, have your co-passengers accomplish it individually as well as per these PAL domestic travel guidelines.

2. Prepare destination-specific travel documents

After accomplishing both forms, travellers must then prepare the necessary documents required for his or her destination. Some places like Clark, Legazpi, Cebu, Davao, General Santos, Ozamiz, and Zamboanga also require a negative rapid test or RT-PCR for arriving passengers.

Passengers can take the test at the following PAL-partnered testing facilities: One Health Medical Services, Inc., Fe Del Mundo Medical Center, Cardinal Santos Medical Center, New World Diagnostics, Kaiser Medical Center, and Safeguard DNA Diagnostics Inc.

If you have a layover in another airport or travelling to another city or province upon arriving in your PAL domestic destination, you must also secure the travel documents needed in those places separately.

3. Present your confirmation email and other documents

On or before the day of your flight, gather all your destination-specific documents and your PAL registration confirmation email with the QR code. You will present these documents upon checking in at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2.

The check-in staff will scan your code and evaluate all your travel documents. When all requirements are complete and valid, you will receive a stamp indicating that you are allowed to proceed to check-in and board your flight. While at the airport, you must also follow PAL’s new normal safety measures, which include wearing your own face mask and face shield.
