Here, we’ve rounded up a few of the restaurants in Ortigas that we keep coming back to when we’re in the area.

If you’re like us, then you never tire of good Japanese food. Luckily, the metro is teeming with dining spots specialising in Japanese fare. One of our current go-to spots is Yugen, one of the restaurants in Ortigas that’s as authentic as it is beautiful. A wide range of Japanese delicacies is available, from delicious rolls and sushi to rice meals and noodles. Hungry foodies hankering for East Asian favourites will definitely leave Yugen full and satisfied.

Hungry for ramen? If you’re in SM Megamall, then you won’t go wrong with a meal at Kitchitora Ramen. The shop specialises in paitan ramen, with each bowl of soup made fresh every day using pure chicken stock. Fragrant, smooth, and delicious, Kitchitora’s famous paitan soup is hailed as one of the best and most authentic ramen dishes in Metro Manila.

Treat yourself to a one-Michelin-starred dining experience at Putien, a restaurant in The Podium that serves quality Singapore-Fujian cuisine. In this popular Chinese chain establishment, expect traditional fare like century eggs, crispy oysters, bian rou soup, and chilli crabs. Tasty, casual, and relatively affordable, Putien is one of the Ortigas restaurants that any foodie will appreciate.

European classics meet Filipino favourites in Florabel, an elegant restaurant in Estancia Mall that promises a meal you won’t soon forget. Every item on the menu is worth trying, but standouts include the spicy tuna salad, the sisig-style crispy lechon kawali, and the pan-fried sea bass in lemon caviar butter sauce and foie gras. Craving Pinoy flavours? Chef Florabel’s Award-Winning Adobo packs a punch, served with garlic rice (of course) and vegetable spring rolls.

Another great example of Filipino-French fusion done right is Duck & Buvette, one of the restaurants in Ortigas that are suited for post-work dinners, weekend outings, and special occasions. Sometimes, all you really need is a plateful of local comfort food. Sentro 1771 is one of many Filipino restaurants in Ortigas that can give you everything you’re craving for! Personally, we’re salivating over the corned beef sinigang. But the choices for mouthwatering Pinoy food are endless, from the signature bagoong rice to the crispy pata.

If you’re extra famished with the budget to splurge, maybe it’s time to make your way to one of the best buffet restaurants in Podium, Ortigas: Niu by Vikings. Metro foodies have long been enamoured by the Vikings Group and the all-you-can-eat restaurant’s over-the-top selection of food, from dim sum and sushi to pasta and steaks. Wine is free-flowing, too!
Be ready for the crowds, though. As is the case with the most popular restaurants in Ortigas and beyond, it’s best to make a reservation before showing up at Niu by Vikings.

Tuck into authentic Cantonese cuisine at Summer Palace, an upscale restaurant that sits in the five-star EDSA Shangri-La. As the name suggests, this is a contemporary dining spot that’s quite palatial with warm lighting, ornate chairs, and refined decor. But while it’s easy to be dazzled by the beautiful interiors, the food is equally mesmerising. Summer Palace prides itself in culinary excellence, whether you’re sampling the Peking duck, crispy beef, or the wide variety of yummy dumplings.

Night out with the barkada? Dine and drink at Moonshine P.U.B. x Public Urban Bar, a speakeasy-inspired hotspot in Sapphire Bloc. When it comes to vibes, Moonshine stands out amid other restaurants in Ortigas with dark lighting, brick interiors, and industrial design touches. And if you’re up for a party, Moonshine is in full swing come nighttime. Yuppies descend to throw back cocktails, fill up on modern Filipino dishes, and then dance to cool beats by resident DJs.

Finally, take your foodie experience to new heights literally! Perched on the 45th floor of Marco Polo Ortigas Manila, VU’s Sky Bar and Lounge enjoys sweeping views of the cityscape. Neon lighting and skyline scenery also set the tone for a memorable night out. Delicious cocktails, live music, and a fun crowd — it’s undoubtedly everything from a Friday night hotspot.
The food? Delish. But if you want to grab a scrumptious meal before your nightcap, visit the sophisticated Lung Hin on the 44th floor. Here, savour mouthwatering Cantonese dishes before meeting up with pals at VU’s.
