Looking for a new best spot to enjoy Baguio City views when it’s safe to explore again? The new SM City Baguio Sky Terrace may just do it for you. In a Facebook post on 18 Sep 2020, the SM mall announced that its latest amenity is now open to the public, and it will offer nothing less than the ‘best view in Baguio’.
In the photos shared by SM City Baguio’s official Facebook page, the Sky Terrace can be seen sporting an expansive greenery-filled space, spacious concrete pathways, and what looks like a mini-amphitheatre. Dining and leisure establishments have also opened within the premises, including a new Black Scoop Cafe branch.

In line with their #SMCares campaign, the mall also mentioned that it is observing proper cleaning in the new amenity. “A sanitised mall is a safe mall,” they said. “We sanitise our Sky Terrace before opening, during mall hours, and after closing. For your safety, SM City Baguio works to keep you safe while having fun.”
Prior to its opening, the SM Baguio Sky Terrace has also made a buzz among Baguio locals and other Filipinos because of the number of pine trees brought down for its construction. As such, a number of netizens, comprised of Baguio locals and frequent visitors, expressed their disappointment with the new amenity.
