The promise of new flavours beckons from Banawe.
Who doesn’t love fried chicken skin? No, really, name one person you know who actually hates it… and I’ll tell you that you don’t need that negativity in your life. Kidding aside, many of us would agree that this is the yummiest part of any fried chicken — especially when it’s done the right way.
So, imagine our delight when we heard that homegrown restaurant Bad Bird now offers such a version of their bestselling Umami Fried Chicken!
What sets this apart from other fried chicken skin in Metro Manila is its East Asian seasoning that goes perfectly well with the thick, juicy meat. Now, you won’t need to save the best for last when enjoying this crunchy, savoury treat. A single order costs ₱280 — which is pretty sulit, given its hefty serving! Each order also comes with Japanese mayo as the dipping sauce.
Bad Bird’s Umami Fried Chicken Skin comes in three spice levels to cater to different taste buds: mild (Safe), moderate (Spicy), and extra spicy (Chemical). Don’t worry, they’re equally flavourful and guaranteed to leave you wanting to order more.
So, where exactly can you get this? As of now, it’s exclusively available at The Grid Food Market (Stall #14) in Powerplant Mall. For those who still aren’t comfy with going to the mall, it’s also available for delivery via The Grid’s official website.
