The promise of new flavours beckons from Banawe.
When I first started working remotely, there was one thing I was most excited for: Getting to spend my working hours ticking off coffee shops from my must-visit list! I especially loved having expertly made espresso drinks (my ultimate faves: mochas and flat whites!) — and the super Instagrammable ambience never hurt, either. On my work-from-café days, I’d always wonder, where do they buy all these cute mugs and coffee cups?
It took being forced to stay at home, but I’ve finally, finally found an answer. Not only have I put together a list of café-quality mugs; I’ve also stumbled upon several other stores that sell the cutest mugs and coffee cups to add to your home collection! Without further ado, I present a list I’ve personally put together — here’s and coffee cups in Manila!

Obsessed with all things marble? These cup and saucer sets from Ren Marble are made with 100% pure marble, and are absolutely to die for. While we love that they’re super Instagrammable, our favourite thing about them is that they’re handmade in the Philippines. What a gorgeous showcase of Filipino craftsmanship, don’t you think? We need our hands on these, ASAP!

In 2020, “boob mugs” became all the rage — and I happily hopped on that trend! It’s been difficult finding one that ticks all the right boxes: beautifully crafted, comes with a handle, big enough to hold an entire cup of coffee, and affordable.
Eventually, I discovered these lovely mugs from Peekaboob after my sister received one from a friend. Their original boob mugs (photographed on the left) come in plain and speckled designs. Plus, they recently launched a wider version of their boob mugs, along with their “butt mugs”! Too cute, right?

Wondering whose designs veer away from those you would typically see on Instagram? Check out NOOQ Living. I first learned about Tahanan Pottery Shop when a friend of mine posted a photo of a mug from there — I just had to know where she got it! They recently launched an Instagram account specifically for selling their ceramics. Their offerings range from mugs made by some of the country’s top potters like Ugu Bigyan to beautiful stoneware from Sagada Pottery. A great place to shop if you’re all about #SupportingLocal!

Do these espresso and cappuccino cups look familiar to you? If you’re a coffee shop regular, then you may notice that these sets from Orion are strikingly similar to the cups used to serve your fave coffee drinks — that’s what drew me to them, at least! Stock up on their gorgeous pastel-coloured porcelain cups, and your home will instantly feel like your very own café.

Manibalang’s lovingly crafted ceramics are probably among the most in-demand on Instagram right now. If scoring first dibs in heated online auctions falls under your area of expertise, then you just might want to try your luck at Manibalang’s next bentahan. I myself have yet to get my hands on one of their highly coveted boob mugs, as I always have way too much competition!Â
All it takes to fall in love with Manibalang’s pottery, however, is a quick browse through their Instagram account — it won’t be hard to see why everyone is fighting tooth and nail for their work!

There are boob mugs, and then there are “booty mugs”! Good Design is offers my favourite variation so far. In addition to these, they also have drip mugs (photographed on the right), boob mugs, and more picture-perfect glassware you’ll want to add to your virtual shopping cart. Basically, if you’d like your at-home coffee corner to look like something straight out of Pinterest, then this shop should be your go-to!

Love having coffee when you’re on the go? Baso’s are a great alternative to single-use containers. I just love how they’re designed just like to-go coffee cups and can keep your drinks hot for 30 to 40 minutes! What’s more, part of Baso’s proceeds go to the Pawssion Project Foundation, a local welfare group that helps rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals. I see zero reasons not to stan!
For more information, visit Baso’s official Facebook or Instagram pages.
