The promise of new flavours beckons from Banawe.
All street food tastes exceptionally satisfying, especially when it’s oily, fried to a crisp, and overflowing with carbs. Hong Kong fried Noodles fulfil all of these and more: They even add the charm of customisation, allowing hungry customers to mix and match sauces and toppings.
As unsurprising as it is unfortunate, we haven’t had as easy access to street food since we started avoiding the streets — and this obviously includes Hong Kong fried noodles. So when yours truly craved for a bowl of this, I resorted to what most of us, The Desperate, do in these dark times: online shopping. And guess what I found? Yes, ready-to-cook Hong Kong fried noodles!

A Shopee seller, who claims that they are DTI-registered (but we can’t say for sure), is heaven to all of us who want the noods. Kimmy’s Choice joined Shopee in 2020, has over 1,000 user reviews, and, as of writing, is rated 4.9 over 5 stars. As the seller is not from Shopee Mall, we ask that you take precautions and do your own research. But from what I, a hungry girl weak for fried noodles, can see, it’s a pretty legit shop.

Kimmy’s Choice offers a kilogram of egg noodles for ₱133. If you’re not feeling ravenous, you can opt for a smaller pack of noodles (100g) for only ₱20. The store also offers sauces in all the flavours we want: toyomansi, sweet chilli, oyster, peanut sauce, teriyaki, honey garlic, barbeque, and buffalo sauce. All sauces cost ₱59 per 200ml and ₱140 to ₱180 per litre.
