Zomato Philippines Launches Campaign against Hunger Amid COVID-19 Crisis

“Bring better food for more people” has always been the main mission of Zomato Philippines. And this also means bringing food assistance to those in need — especially amidst these trying times! Hence, the restaurant discovery platform launched its latest initiative: Feeding Philippines

For this campaign, Zomato has partnered with Rise Against Hunger Philippines — an international hunger relief organisation that distributes food and aid to various marginalised communities.

Since the campaign launched last April, Zomato Philippines has raised over ₱200,000 — mostly thanks to the foodie community! This includes both the app users and the company’s restaurant and brand partners! That said, the campaign has helped provide daily meals for those affected by the enhanced community quarantine.

Still, hunger remains to be a huge problem, especially now with the uncertainty brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. And so, Zomato is taking it up a notch by targeting to reach a million pesos’ worth of donations for marginalised communities! In fact, Zomato Philippines’ Country Head, Chris Evans, has pledged to shave his head (for a cause!) once they achieve this target — and he has nominated other members of the Zomato team to do the same!

And yes, you can definitely support the cause, too! Visit Zomato’s official website for full information on the Feeding Philippines campaign and details on how to donate.
