Our favourite places to stay on this sleepy Cebu island.
As we continue to live in the “new normal” while deeply missing our “old normal” ways, it’s safe to say that we should be worried if hotels and resorts continue to live by the latter. With their guests’ comfort and health being of utmost importance, Robinsons Hotels & Resorts has established new protocols and put forward a new set of offerings to cater to their new normal needs.

At Robinsons Hotel & Resorts, their guests’ safety is their number one priority — and their Circle of Clean is proof. What exactly is the Circle of Clean, you might ask?
In a nutshell, the hotel and resorts group has levelled up their health and sanitation measures, specifically based on the new normal protocols recommended by the World Health Organisation and the Department of Health. With this, it is their aim for their guests to be at ease from the moment they set foot inside their properties.
Robinsons Hotel & Resorts has meticulously put together a set of protocols to guarantee both their guests’ and hotel staff’s safety. From disinfection mats at all entry points all the way down to sanitising their guests’ keycards and luggage, the hotel group has made sure to cover everything to ensure a worry-free stay.
Their new health and sanitation measures include the following:
In keeping with their Circle of Clean, Go Hotels is now offering safe and affordable long-term stays until 31 Dec 2020. Their Home to Go package is perfect for those who’ve been stranded in Manila since the beginning of quarantine; a stay at one of their accommodations comes complete with basic utilities such as water, electricity, cable TV, and free WiFi. One room is good for a maximum of two people.
This also makes for an ideal option for those on the lookout for residences close to their workplaces in order to minimise travel time, transportation costs, and outside exposure. Go Hotels’ Otis-Manila, Ortigas Center, and Mandaluyong locations all currently have this budget-friendly package on offer.
Similarly, Summit Hotels and Resorts is also offering all-in long-term accommodations — in this case, for a minimum stay of one month. This package is presently available at their hotels in Greenhills, Magnolia, Ridge Tagaytay, Galleria Cebu, Circle Cebu, and Tacloban.
Now that a lot of us have shifted to a work-from-home scheme, we’re no strangers to issues like not having a dedicated workspace, getting distracted by everyone at home, and (worst of all) poor Internet connection. All this being said, Robinsons Hotels & Resorts’ Working-On-The-Go Private Offices make quite an attractive alternative to working at home.
Ranging from affordable to top-of-the-line, Robinsons Hotels offers workspaces at Go Hotels in Ortigas and Mandaluyong, as well as in Summit Hotels Magnolia and Greenhills. There, guests may avail of a bare workspace all to themselves, or opt to share with one other person; for an additional (but still budget-friendly) fee, guests may also choose to have their office space furnished with tables and chairs. Should guests want adjoining accommodation and workspace, this is also an available option.
To add to that, all Working-On-The-Go packages include electricity, water, and WiFi access of up to 1mbps per person. Weekly cleaning services are also provided at no extra cost.
