The savings are beyond comparison!
Fact: ARMYs find more reasons to love BTS every single day. The latest reason to stan this world-renowned K-pop group? They just helped raise a total of $162,500 for charity by donating the pastel-coloured OOTDs they donned for their Dynamite music video to Julien’s Auctions. That’s a whopping eight times more than their outfits originally cost!

The auctioned outfits included items from brands ranging from Nike and Polo Ralph Lauren to Paul Smith and Jacquemus. All proceeds were directed to the Recording Academy’s non-profit organisation, MusiCares. In keeping with the times, funds were raised for musical professionals who have been hard-hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, BTS helped raise more than double what they did last year; in January 2020, their customised tour microphones were auctioned off for more than $80,000! (Funnily, these were only expected to sell for $15,000 at most.)

While BTS has been known to support a number of causes, this was actually the first time the South Korean idol group donated costumes from one of their music videos. Whoever the lucky buyer was, we hope they know they just became a part of history!
