The only plastic we need for travel.
We’ve come to a point in our lives that literally every single peso and second counts. For telecom subscribers, it also means knowing how to maximise your data’s worth. That way, you can surf the internet, watch videos, launch virtual meetings, or play mobile games more efficiently.
In Globe‘s case, this is no longer much of a problem, as the company started letting its subscribers convert their Globe unused data into something more valuable. Until 30 Sep 2021, if you have leftover Globe or TM data, you can use it in the form of rewards points to redeem other products. These include Viu subscriptions, GrabFood deliveries, gaming, or Lazada credits.

Known as GBs to Points, this service is available among all Globe Prepaid, Postpaid, Platinum, TM, and Globe at Home Prepaid WiFi customers. You must first subscribe to the following promos or plans, according to Globe.
Globe Prepaid: All Go, GoSURF, GoSAKTO promos, and all GCash exclusive promos.
Globe Postpaid: Main data allowance from GPlan, ThePlan Plus, or ThePlan; main GoSURF Packs, Recurring GoSURF Add-ons, and Rollover data.
Globe Platinum: All customers who are registered to ThePLATINUM Plan 3799 with 22GB, ThePLATINUM Plan 4999 with 27GB Data, ThePLATINUM Plan 7999 with 32GB Data, Rollover data, and add-on GoSURF and GoBOOST promos (including 5G).
TM: All-In 20, 30, and any EasySURF promos.
Globe at Home Prepaid WiFi: All HomeSURF and HomeWATCH promos.

If you have All-Month Surf for Globe Platinum and GPlan Platinum plans, you no longer need to convert your data. This is because both plans already come with triple the amount of rewards points every month. Once you’ve subscribed to these services, you can automatically start converting data to rewards points through the GlobeOne or TM app. Here’s how:

To know how much data costs in rewards points, see the following chart.
If you are unable to see the Convert Data tool, it’s either because you did not register to an open or all-access data promo or you have insufficient data wallet allocation. It’s also possible that you are not using an updated version of the New GlobeOne app, you recently switched networks, or you are not registered to a Consumer account.
There is no limit to using the service as long as you have enough data left. However, keep in mind that there is a maximum limit of allocation for conversion during the duration of the offer, which ranges from 20GB for Globe Prepaid or TM to 50GB for HPW. If you are a postpaid or Platinum customer, the limit refreshes each billing cycle.

Globe warns not to convert all your Globe unused data at once to avoid being charged with regular mobile browsing rates. Otherwise, activate your SurfAlerts. As for redeeming the points, there is a transaction cap of only five Globe rewards transactions per day. This excludes BUY or Points-As-Cash transactions. For gifting, it will be once a day.
GBs to Points is available until 30 Sep 2021. Visit Globe for more information.
