Are you a Filipino with a passion for travel and adventure? If so, New Zealand might just be your dream destination! The stunning landscapes, vibrant culture, and countless opportunities for both work and play make it an attractive choice. In 2024, the New Zealand Working Holiday Visa (WHV) is once again available to eligible Filipino applicants, promising an unforgettable experience.

Applications for the 2024 New Zealand Working Holiday Visa open on 12 Mar at 10am NZDT (5am Philippine Standard Time). To be eligible, you must be between the ages of 18 and 30. This short-term visa allows you to work and study in New Zealand for up to a year, giving you the chance to fund your adventures and immerse yourself in Kiwi culture.

The application process is simple and user-friendly: Just visit the New Zealand Immigration website, complete the online form, upload the necessary documents, and pay the application fee of NZ$455 (approximately ₱15,673) using Visa, Mastercard, or UnionPay credit or debit cards. Remember, there are only 100 Working Holiday Visas available in each cycle. So, don’t procrastinate; once they’re gone, applications close.
The New Zealand Working Holiday Visa offers much more than just a travel experience. Unlike a typical tourist visa, it allows you to work for multiple employers for up to three months each and engage in short courses or study programs, provided they don’t exceed six months. Additionally, you can extend your stay in New Zealand beyond the usual tourist or holiday visa limit. The best part? No job offer is required before applying!
To secure this coveted visa, you’ll need to meet some requirements:
Once you’re granted a Working Holiday Visa, make the most of it because it’s a one-time opportunity. You can’t delay or cancel it, and if it goes unused, it will eventually expire, with no option to reapply.
Lastly, keep in mind that family members or spouses can’t join you under this visa. If they want to explore New Zealand, they’ll need to apply for their own visas.
Mark your calendars for March 12, 2024, when the applications open. Prepare for the adventure of a lifetime, filled with work opportunities, cultural experiences, and unforgettable memories. New Zealand awaits, so why wait? Start planning your Kiwi adventure today!
