The savings are beyond comparison!
“Dreams really do come true,” Pampagueña Rencel Estacio said in her now-viral Facebook post that showed her small bedroom transformation from casual to Instagram-worthy in one month.
While everyone else is turning to basic gardening and home cheffing, to name a few, the 21-year-old Pinay decided she wanted to do a makeover of her bedroom as part of her quarantine ‘to-do list’.

“Noong una nakikita ko lang sa mga Facebook post ‘yung mga ganoon na room, so naisip ko why not apply ko siya sa room ko,” Estacio told TripZilla Philippines. “Sobrang tagal ko siya pinag-isipan if papagawa ko na ba, siguro more than a year.”
In her post, which contained a series of photos, she showed how she successfully turned a small dark colour-themed room into an eclectic loft-like, space-saving space after tapping local designers from her hometown of Sta. Ana.
“Yung sa look ng room, ako lang ang nag-decide at sinabi ko lang sa gumawa kung pano gagawin niya,” Estacio added. With the modified general community quarantine in Pampanga, she managed to buy all the materials in person as hardware stores in her locale remain open.
The final look features a lounge and entertainment area on the first level and a separate sleeping space on the second. There’s also now a built-in wardrobe and an illuminated mini-staircase that connects the two main sections.
According to Estacio, the small bedroom transformation cost her approximately ₱70,000 to P80,000, which she is paying by instalment. She currently handles an online selling business to help her earn the rest of the money she needs.
